Leipzig, 20th of March 2023 – The software specialist for IT asset and lifecycle management continues its channel strategy under new leadership. Leipzig, March 20, 2023 – Deskcenter, a software manufacturer based in Leipzig, is bringing Martin Schaletzky onto the executive board as of April 1, 2023. He will succeed Christoph Harvey, who is leaving the company at his own request. Together with Markus Gärtner as co-head, Schaletzky aims to drive the company forward with agility, flat hierarchies, and a strong customer focus.
Martin Schaletzky started as interim CFO at Deskcenter in February 2023. Prior to that, he was CEO and board member of the Leipzig IT consulting firm Softline AG, where he began as CFO and Vice President Finance & Controlling. During this time, he managed the national and international subsidiaries and restructured the company. Schaletzky brings over twelve years of leadership experience from the IT sector to his executive position at Deskcenter. The mechanical engineer and economist also has first-hand experience with the challenges of medium-sized companies from his years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
“When the request came to move up to the executive board, I didn’t have to think long,” says Schaletzky. He is particularly excited about the opportunity to build and intensify the existing partner landscape, especially in the German-speaking region. Distributors with an established network should play a central role in this process. “With the right partners, we can accelerate the company’s growth most effectively,” the new executive board member is convinced.
The top priority of the sales strategy is to actively support Deskcenter users in their digital transformation. Schaletzky further explains, “Many of our medium-sized customers operate critical IT infrastructures. IT security is paramount in that context. To manage complex IT environments simply and securely, efficient asset management is essential.”
