    API Version 2

A completely new REST API for DCMS is being developed, focusing on robustness, performance, and user-friendliness. The goal is to simplify scripting and programming against the API, as well as to enable easy integration with third-party tools. Both the OpenAPI and ODATA standards will be fully supported. In addition to resources for importing and exporting data into DCMS, actions can also be triggered. Notifications can be connected via webhook, allowing reactions to events to be initiated. Utilizing Docker container technology enables quick and easy deployment, updates, and scaling.

    Layout Management

The management of custom views is being centralized. This makes it possible to distribute personalized views to specific or all workstations. DCMS administrators can provide consistent and optimized views for all employees. Existing group and individual views remain intact, while new central views can be optionally added or removed.

    Patch Management

The patch management backend is being completely redeveloped to integrate Microsoft's latest changes. By precisely determining patch requirements, necessary updates are downloaded only once and distributed through the existing DCMS infrastructure. Support for cumulative updates is also being expanded to ensure they are fully covered. This means all available patches, including cumulative updates, can be detected and installed via DCMS patch management.

    SDI Agent Neustart-Option

The reboot behavior of the SDI Agent is being revised. It will be possible to perform a restart without ongoing installations, making restarts more flexible and avoiding unnecessary interruptions.

    Microsoft Intune Connector

Based on API 2, a Microsoft Intune connector is being developed that enables the use of device information from Intune within DCMS.

    API-Triggered Script Execution

Scripts can be executed via APIv2, allowing any actions to respond to events such as the completion of an inventory or the execution of a software assignment.

    Inventory of the Windows Registry

Enables the inventory of registry information from managed Windows systems. The entries to be inventoried are defined through configurable whitelists, which can include one or more paths with wildcard support and recursion options as needed. These configurations can be assigned to individual systems or groups and can be flexibly activated or deactivated. Inventory occurs as part of the regular group inventory or can be initiated manually. This feature requires no additional software on the systems, as it is integrated into the SDI Agent.

    Default Font

Font size and type can be set globally. When configuring emails sent by the system, these global settings can be overridden. For manually sent emails, font size and type can be individually adjusted for each message. Additionally, email templates can be created separately regarding font type and size.

    Event Log

The DCMS event log is being revamped to make relevant messages more visible. A new event classification, 'Info,' is being introduced. Return values from external applications or service calls will also be explicitly displayed as such.

    Helpdesk Project Wizard

A setup wizard assists in creating new helpdesk projects. Guided through menus, configurations for the minimum requirements of a helpdesk project—user groups, statuses, priorities, escalation times, ticket templates, and notification settings—are queried and established in a single step.
