The new Cybersecurity Management Solution from DeskCenter combines setting up safe and transparent IT infrastructure with ensuring compliance for all software applications.
Leipzig, 26 September 2017 – DeskCenter Solutions AG is presenting its new Cybersecurity Management Solution at the it-sa 2017. Companies use it to protect themselves from cyberattacks using ransomware or Trojans by keeping the software on all devices up-to-date using centralised and automated means. The solution also deals with the necessary compliance. This now not only includes the correct use of licences. It is also essential that all of the devices in the network only work with approved, maintained and patched software. With dashboards and reports, the new DeskCenter solution ensures that IT professionals and management have the necessary up-to-date transparency. In addition to IT security, the analyses help to improve IT service quality and provide an important contribution to maximising the added value from IT investments and infrastructure. To protect their network from attacks, companies are required to permanently check their IT for security gaps. The DeskCenter Cybersecurity Management Solution provides support for this by the inventory of all IT assets and software installed in the network continuously. The solution also checks whether patches and updates to the listed programs are fully updated. If necessary, the software updates are distributed automatically using rules across the network and installed on desktops and servers. This significantly minimises the manual administration effort for IT. As an option companies can expand the solution to include user access management. This enables them to analyse and monitor which rights the users have for files, folders and file servers.
The Cybersecurity Management Solution is part of the next release of the DeskCenter Management Suite, which the company will launch shortly. The new release contains such features as numerous innovations relating to IT asset discovery and inventories as well as extensions for workflow wizards when distributing software. The release also integrates comprehensive SAP licence management based on the sam-q solution from VOQUZ IT Solutions. Companies can therefore measure, depict and optimise the use of their SAP licences via a central user interface and receive answers on the licensing compliance issue for SAP.
